SBHS Licensed Clinical Psychologists will provide comprehensive Psychoeducational and Neuropsychological Testing and evaluations for individual of all ages to help determine the strengths and challenges they might be facing with regard to cognitive and intellectual ability. Results of testing will help establish how best an individual learns by comparing auditory and visual processing skills and by assessing mental focus, concentration, distractibility, processing speed, executive functioning, visual-motor integration skills, and overall neuropsychological functioning. Testing can help determine whether or not a learning disorder or any other processes impairing academic functioning are present.
Psychoeducational and Neuropsychological Testing will help determine diagnoses of Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), Reading Disorder, Mathematics Disorder, Disorder of Written Expression, Dyslexia, and Expressive and Receptive Language Disorders. SBHS also provides admissions testing for undergraduate colleges and universities, and for private elementary, middle, and high schools where individual academic accommodations may be needed as a result of ADHD or a learning disorder.
Once testing has been completed, SBHS will provide you with a confidential report that summarizes all test findings, provides definitive conclusions and diagnoses, assists with IEP considerations, and provides comprehensive treatment recommendations. Feedback sessions are also available with SBHS Licensed Clinical Psychologists to discuss and clarify test results and assist with establishing a course of treatment.
